OIC, June 21, 2022----, Regent of Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), H. Iskandar, SE launched the program for the beautiful village or the village of statistical love. Beautiful Village is a program of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in order to increase the competence of village officials in managing and utilizing data so that village development planning is more targeted.

"If the understanding of statistics improves, village officials can use the data to develop their village," said the OKI Regent. Iskandar, SE when launching the Beautiful Village in Kayuagung, Tuesday (21/06/2022).

In Ogan Komering Ilir, four villages were designated as pioneers of beautiful villages, namely Sedyo Mulyo Village, Mesuji Raya District, Pangarayan Tanjung Lubuk District, Kijang Ulu, Sirah Island Padang District, and Kalideres Village, Mesuji District. These four villages are also representatives of OKI Regency at the national level.

Regent Iskandar asked all appointed village officials to respond positively to the declaration. This is because village potential data has a major influence on the planned policies to be more targeted.

“The village government must be enthusiastic. This is the time for us to see more clearly the potential that exists in the village. And can inspire other villages," he said.

He hopes that other villages can be motivated and there will be healthy competition in terms of data management. So that through Beautiful Villages, advanced villages can be realized.
“I even thank BPS because this innovation can spark healthy competition for villages in the OKI. Towards a more developed village," he added.

The Head of BPS for Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, Anugrahani Prasetyowati, SST., M.Sc., said this year all districts/cities are required to have a village or sub-district for the development of Beautiful Villages (Cinta Statistik)

"This Beautiful Village (Cinta Statistik) aims to improve the competence of village officials in managing and utilizing data, so that development planning is more targeted," he said.
