Governor of South Sumatra Observes BPS South Sumatra Public Services

The transformation of BPS Sumsel public services in a modern and digital direction is an important step in improving excellent service for data users. In addition to the digital Integrated Statistics Service (PST) which can be accessed 24 hours a day, BPS Sumsel also presents the innovation of Desa Bumi Sriwijaya as a spatial-based data management platform for all villages/kelurahans throughout South Sumatra.

 It's not only the transformation of digital data services, the face of the public service space also looks more modern. In fact, in 2022, the BPS of South Sumatra Province received an award as the first rank for Excellent Service from the Ministry of Public Institutions from the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB). This is what invites the admiration of service users.

 The Governor of South Sumatra specifically visited the South Sumatra BPS office to enjoy a number of existing services (18/3). The presence of the governor and his staff is a commitment and clear evidence of the presence of the provincial government as a user of data in policy planning. During his visit, the Governor of South Sumatra visited PST, employee workspaces, and the basement room which had been converted into an employee creative corner.

 The Governor of South Sumatra also expressed his extraordinary appreciation for the transformation and performance of BPS as a data provider. "Without the correct data, it is certain that the planning will be wrong, moreover the target must be more wrong. Program monitoring - evaluation - can be seen from the data as well. The most appropriate government element - the data provider - is the Central Bureau of Statistics."
