the seventh carried out by BPS, since it started in 1963. The Agricultural Census was conducted

once every ten years in the year ending in 3 according to the mandate of the Republic of Indonesia Law

Indonesia Number 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics. Implementation of ST2023 also refers to

the world food agency or FAO program.

The implementation of ST2023 was proclaimed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo on 15

Last May 2023 at the State Palace, Jakarta. President Jokowi stated that agriculture

is a strategic sector and involves the lives of many people. So that

The President emphasized the need for accurate ST2023 data to produce policy accuracy.

Support for the implementation of ST2023 was also conveyed by President Jokowi, "I support

implementation of ST2023 so that this census actually produces data that is accurate, up-to-date and

trustworthy," he stressed. The president invited all parties to come together

success ST2023. BPS also received support from various parties, ranging from

ministries/agencies, local governments, universities, mass media, and many more.

Main Secretary of BPS, Atqo Mardiyanto on the occasion of the ST2023 Standby Call

on May 30 2023 then said that the implementation of ST2023 was expected to be able

provides a comprehensive picture of the condition of agriculture in Indonesia to the region

smallest. Atqo further said that the ST2023 results data were also used as

agricultural survey sample frame and as a benchmark of current agricultural statistics

This. "And most importantly, the ST2023 data is expected to be an internal reference

preparation of strategic policies for the agricultural sector, thereby increasing the quality of design

 formulated policies," said Atqo.

ST2023 aims to provide agricultural structure data, especially for units

the smallest administrative unit; provide data that can be used as benchmarks

current farm statistics; and providing a sample frame for agricultural surveys.

ST2023 will cover seven sub-sectors, namely food crops, horticulture, plantations,

animal husbandry, fisheries, forestry, and agricultural services. In ST2023, agricultural business actors

data will be recorded throughout Indonesia, both individual agricultural business units and agricultural business units

others (groups), as well as agricultural companies with legal status. A total of 190 thousand

officers throughout Indonesia were deployed by BPS to record data on agricultural business actors.

Various innovations were made in ST2023, one of which was in terms of methods

data collection ST2023 uses multimode data collection, namely the Paper method

Assisted Personal Interviewing (PAPI), Computed Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI),

and Computer Assisted Web Interviewing (CAWI). ST2023 is designed to gain

international standard results using guidelines from FAO. Therefore,

it is hoped that ST2023 can produce better data accuracy than the census

previously. What's different is that ST2023 is able to capture strategic agricultural issues

national, such as urban farming, millennial farmers, agricultural modernization, and also income

farmers as a proxy for farmer welfare.

The active participation of all agricultural business actors is highly expected

success of ST2023. Welcome census workers to your home June 1-July 31
