Indonesia is implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB) and synergizing them with the Long Term Development Plan (RPJMN). The universal development goals set out in the SDGs require support from all elements of society.
In order to support the provision of SDG Indicators that are more comprehensive and use the latest methods. BPS innovates new data sources through Small Area Estimation (SAE), remote sensing, and big data.
For this reason, a Workshop on Developing SDGs Indicators was held with the theme of "Close Collaboration and Accurate Data, SDGs Achieved Right". Participants came from 34 provincial BPS throughout Indonesia, 48 people from the Directorate of Statistics Analysis and Development and directorates related to providing data from BPS RI, and 7 people from Bappenas and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
The agenda on the first day presented 3 resource persons namely Gantjang Amanullah (Manager Monitoring and Evaluation of the SDGs National Secretariat) who brought the theme Evaluation & Achievements of Indonesia's SDGs within the Decade of Action, Dr. Sofyan, ST, M.Sc (Head of Bappeda West Java) who carries the theme Urgency of Availability of SDGs in the Preparation of Regional Action Plans (RAD), and Erna Y (Secretariat of SDGs BPS) who will explain the Role of BPS in Monitoring the Achievement of SDGs.
On the second day, presenting speakers were Prof. Arief Anshory Yusuf (Founding Director of the Center for SDGs Center of Padjadjaran University) who brought the theme of Collaboration between Government & Universities in Overcoming the Challenges of Methodology for Providing SDGs Indicator Data, Khulfi M. Khawani (Young Expert Planner, Ministry of Environment & Forestry) who brought the theme Challenges in Providing SDGs Indicator Data for the Environment Pillars, and Yuniarti (BPS RI) explained about Small Area Estimation (SAE).
