On Thursday (20/07), BPS-Statistics of Sumatera Selatan Province has held a Population Projection Socialization for Regency/Municipality in Sumatera Selatan Province from 2020 to 2035, results of Long Form Population Census 2020 at Hotel The Zuri Palembang. This event was opened directly by the Chief Statistician of Sumatera Selatan Province. It was attended by relevant stakeholders from various Departments/Agencies/Institutions within the region, as well as academics. The population projection is a collaborative effort aimed at planning and providing the basis for a better future.
Three expert speakers from the Regional Development Planning Agency of Sumatera Selatan Province, the National Research and Innovation Agency, and BPJS Health Regional Office in Palembang were invited to provide insights into interpreting the population projection figures.

Let us collaboratively seek the best solutions and strategies to wisely utilize the demographic bonus potential while facing the challenges presented by the aging population.
We extend our gratitude to all parties who contributed to the success of this event. May the results of this population projection serve as valuable assets for Sumatera Selatan Province towards a more splendid future!
