Training for Strategic Commodity Survey Officers for Coconut and Pepper Plantations 2023 (VKOMSTRAT)

The agricultural sector is a sector that has an important share in the national economy. The availability of complete, accurate and up-to-date agricultural sector data is urgently needed in planning and formulating policies. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in one of its duties and authorities provides data related to the agricultural sector through the implementation of various surveys on a periodic basis. For this reason, BPS conducted a Coconut and Pepper Plantation Strategic Commodity Survey 2023. The results of the Coconut and Pepper Plantation Strategic Commodity Survey are expected to complement and enrich the information obtained from ST2023, particularly for the Coconut and Pepper commodity.

The 2023 Pepper Plantation Strategic Commodity Survey Officer Training for South Sumatra Province was held on 23 - 26 August 2023 at The ALTS Hotel. A total of 50 BPS organic and partner officers from 6 regencies/cities in South Sumatra participated in the 2023 Pepper Plantation Strategic Commodity Survey training. This activity was carried out to provide understanding to officers regarding the implementation of the 2023 Pepper Strategic Commodity Survey which will be held on September 1 – 30 2023.
