Abstract
The export value of South Sumatra
in February 2019 increased by 29.77 percent compared to January 2019. However,
when compared to the same period in 2018 (January - February 2018) exports of
South Sumatra Province decreased by 12.05 percent.
• The export value of South
Sumatra Province in February 2019 amounted to US $ 325.94 million consisting of
oil and gas exports amounting to US $ 19.84 million and US $ 306.10 million as
a result of exports of non-oil and gas commodities.
• China, Malaysia and the United
States became the main export destination countries of South Sumatra in the
period January - February 2019, reaching US $ 152.04 million, US $ 62.96
million and US $ 62.43 million respectively, with the role of the three
reaching 48.07 percent of total exports for the period January - February 2019.
• The import value of South
Sumatra in February 2019 was US $ 35.74 million or an increase of 5.39 percent
compared to January 2019.
• Imports of South Sumatra
Province in February 2019 amounting to US $ 35.74 million consisting of oil and
gas imports of US $ 1.44 million and non-oil and gas revenues of US $ 34.30
million.
• The country of origin of
imports is the largest period January - February 2018, namely China with an
import value of US $ 28.56 million, followed by Malaysia with an import value
of US $ 8.10 million and Finland with import values reaching US $ 7.15
million. 2018, namely China with an import value of US $ 96.18 million,
followed by Malaysia with an import value of US $ 57.08 million and Hong Kong
with import values reaching US $ 21.09 million.
