Business Tendency Index and Consumer Tendency Index Quarter II-2019 and Estimation for Quarter III-2019

 The value of ITK in South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2019 was 122.81, meaning that the economic condition of South Sumatra consumers has increased compared to the first quarter of 2019. The level of Consumer optimism in Quarter II-2019 is higher than the quarter I-2019 of 99.98.
 Consumers' economic conditions in the second quarter of 2019 were affected by an increase in household income (index value of 133.54), an increase in the volume of household consumption (index value of 119.77) and relatively no inflationary effect on household consumption (index value of 105.04).
 The upcoming Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) of 97.84 means that the economic condition of consumers in the third quarter of 2019 is not expected to improve with a lower level of optimism than quarter II-2019. In the third quarter of 2019, consumers are pessimistic that their income will increase (index value of 99.80), and consumers will slightly hold purchases of durable goods (index 94.40).
 The economic condition of consumers in all provinces in Sumatra increased in the second quarter of 2019. Among all provinces on the island of Sumatra, the value of ITK is now the highest in the province of South Sumatra.
 Nationally, ITK in the second quarter of 2019 has a value above 100 (ITK = 125.68) which means that the national economic condition of consumers in the second quarter of 2019 is relatively far better than in the first quarter of 2019. The level of consumer optimism in quarter II-2019 was higher than in quarter I-2019 (ITK Value 104.35). In quarter II-2019, the ITK of South Sumatra Province was under the national ITK. The highest ITK is found in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province at 133.91. ITK South Sumatra Province ranks 21 (twenty one) nationally.
