Abstract

• Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of South Sumatra Province in October 2019 was recorded at 89.08 or decreased by 0.40 percent compared to the previous month's NTP, this decline in NTP was influenced by the Farmers Received Price Index (It) which decreased by 0, 29 percent while the average Paid Farmers Index (Ib) rose by 0.11 percent.

• Decline in Farmer Exchange Rates in October 2019 was affected by the decline in FTT in the horticulture sub sector 0.17 percent, 0.82 percent plantations, 0.72 percent livestock, fisheries in general 0.38 percent and aquaculture 0.92 percent. Whereas the FTT in the other sub-sectors experienced an increase namely: food crops 0.26 percent and capture fisheries 0.18 percent.

• In October 2019, rural inflation occurred in South Sumatra by 0.12 percent due to an increase in the average index price in the foodstuffs group of 0.03 percent, processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.37 percent, clothing 0 , 23 percent, health 0.30 percent, education, recreation and sports 0.11 percent and transportation and communication 0.08 percent. While the group that experienced a decline was housing which fell by 0.01 percent.

• In October 2019 there was a decline in Agricultural Business Exchange Rates (NTUP) of 0.38 percent. This happens because the average price of IT has decreased by 0.29 percent, while the average price index of Production Costs and Addition of Capital Goods (BPPBM) has increased by 0.10 percent. The decline in NTUP was caused by the decline in NTUP in the horticultural crops subsector by 0.20 percent, smallholder plantations 0.79 percent, livestock 0.69 percent, fisheries in general 0.16 percent and aquaculture fisheries 0.72 percent. While the NTUP that experienced an increase were the food crops subsector by 0.22 percent and capture fisheries by 0.44 percent.
