Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of South Sumatra Province in March 2020 was recorded at 94.13 or decreased by 2.82 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The decline in FTT was influenced by the Farmer Received Price Index (IT), which decreased by an average of 2.66 percent, while the average Farmer Paid Index (Ib) increased by 0.16 percent.

   The decrease in FTT in March 2020 was influenced by the decline in FTT in the food crops sub-sector by 0.52 percent, horticulture 2.04 percent, plantations 3.80 percent, livestock 0.74 percent and aquaculture by 0.35 percent. Whereas FTT in the fisheries subsector in general and capture fisheries increased by 0.68 percent and 1.40 percent respectively.

   In March 2020, in South Sumatra there was rural inflation of 0.17 percent due to the increase in the average index price in almost all expenditure groups, mainly personal care and other services by 0.56 percent, Health 0.44 percent, Equipment , household appliances and routine maintenance 0.34 percent, while the Education group did not change.

   In March 2020 there was a decrease in NTUP of 2.81 percent. This happened because the average It decreased by 2.66 percent, while the average price of the BPPBM index (Production Costs and Addition of Capital Goods) increased by 0.15 percent. The decline in NTUP was caused by the decline in NTUP in all subsectors, except for the fisheries subsector in general which rose by 0.65 percent and capture fisheries rose by 1.37 percent.
