) STRATEGIC COMMODITY TRADE DISTRIBUTION PATTERN
 The main patterns of trade distribution in South Sumatra in 2019 are as follows:
1. Rice: Producers  Retailers  End Consumers.
2. Red Chili: Farmers  Wholesalers  Retailers  End Consumers.
3. Shallots: Farmers  Wholesalers  Retailers  End Consumers
4. Race Chickens: Producers  Retailers  End Consumers.

 The potential for the longest distribution pattern in South Sumatra Province in 2019 is the commodity of red chilies and shallots.

 Meanwhile, the lowest trade and transportation margin (MPP) was rice MPP of 11.68 percent, which means that the increase in rice prices from producer to final consumers in South Sumatra was 11.68 percent. The MPP for rice in 2019 decreased by 0.54 points compared to the MPP in 2018 which was 12.22 percent.

 The percentage of MPP for red chili commodities in South Sumatra in 2019 was 61.06 percent, up 4.32 points compared to 2018 which amounted to 56.74; onion commodity 36.27 percent, down 2.63 points compared to 2018 which amounted to 38.90; and chicken meat commodity 17.60 percent, down 1.86 points compared to 2018 which amounted to 19.46.
