Abstract

• The export value of South Sumatra in June 2021 reached US$401.21 million, an increase of 11.57 percent compared to May 2021. Likewise, when compared to June 2020, it increased by 62.40 percent.

• Non-oil and gas exports in June 2021 reached US$391.39 million, an increase of 13.47 percent compared to May 2021, and when compared to June 2020 also increased by 64.59 percent. Oil and gas exports in June 2021 reached US$9.82 million, down 33.12 percent compared to May 2021, and when compared to oil and gas exports in June 2020, it rose 6.08 percent.

• China, the United States and Malaysia became the main export destinations for South Sumatra in the period January - June 2021, each reaching US$769.76 million; US$225.27 million and US$160.87 million, with the role of the three reaching 49.96 percent of total exports for the January - June 2021 period.

• The import value of South Sumatra in June 2021 was US$83.75 million, an increase of 27.64 percent compared to May 2021, when compared to imports in June 2020, which increased by 59.64 percent.

• Non-oil and gas imports in June 2021 reached US$80.73 million, up 23.37 percent compared to May 2021, as well as non-oil and gas imports in June 2020, up 59.70 percent. Meanwhile, oil and gas imports in June 2021 reached US$3.02 million, up 1,645.21 percent compared to May 2021, and up 58.27 percent compared to June 2020.

• The three main import origin countries are China with an import value of US$329.73 million, followed by Malaysia with an import value of US$19.09 million and Vietnam with an import value of US$16.76 million, with the contribution of the three reaching 76.05 percent of the total imports period January - June 2021.
