Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
In November, South Sumatra's NTP rose 0.40 percent compared to October's FTT, from 111.96 to 112.40. The increase in NTP in November 2021 was due to the price index of agricultural products experiencing an average price increase of 0.88 percent, while the index paid by farmers in general only experienced an average increase of 0.48 percent.
The increase in NTP in November 2021 was influenced by the increase in FTT in the Horticulture sub-sector by 0.36 percent, Plantation 1.07 percent, Livestock 0.22 percent, Fisheries in General 0.52 percent and Capture Fisheries 1.80 percent. Meanwhile, other sub-sectors that experienced a decline were Food Crops by 2.36 percent and Aquaculture by 1.34 percent.

While the other groups experienced a decrease and some did not change.
