Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) September 2023 was 105.97 or rose 1.67 percent

Abstract

FTT is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib). FTT is an indicator to measure the farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.

Sumatera Selatan Province’s FTT was 105,97 or increased by 1.67 percent compared with that in August 2023. The increase in FTT was due to the increase in FTT of food crops at 4.99 percent, horticulture at 0.48 percent, and plantation at 0.91 percent. Meanwhile, The FTT for animal husbandry, marine capture fishery and aquaculture decreased at 0.62 percent, 0.49 percent, and 1.01 percent.
Sumatera Selatan Province’s rural inflation rose 0.76 percent, from 117.90 in August 2023 to 118.79 in September 2023.
