In 2024, the rice harvest area is estimated at 521.25 thousand hectares with rice production of around 2,842.56 thousand tons of milled dry grain (GKG).

Abstract

The rice harvest area in 2024 is estimated to be around 521.25 thousand hectares, an increase of 17.11 hectares or 3.30 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 504.14 thousand hectares.
Rice production in 2024 is estimated at 2,842.56 thousand tons of GKG, an increase of 9.79 thousand tons of GKG or 0.35 percent compared to rice production in 2023 which was 2,832.77 thousand GKG.
Rice production in 2024 for food consumption for the population is estimated to be around 1,632.35 thousand tons, an increase of 5.62 thousand tons or 0.35 percent compared to rice production in 2023 which was 1,626.73 thousand tons.
