Abstract

In January-November 2024, trips by domestic tourists (wisnus) to South Sumatra reached 16.12 million trips, an increase of 67.59 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Throughout this period, the highest number of trips by foreign tourists to South Sumatra occurred in April 2024 which reached 1.85 million trips. Meanwhile, foreign tourist trips from South Sumatra reached 16.86 million trips, an increase of 77.37 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in November 2024 was 53.67 percent, a decrease of 3.45 points compared to the previous month's TPK which was recorded at 57.12 percent. Meanwhile, when compared to the same month in 2023, the TPK for star hotels in November 2024 also decreased by 4.74 points. Meanwhile, the ROR for non-star hotels in November 2024 was 20.01 percent, down 0.54 points year-on-year (y-on-y) and also down 0.22 points month-to-month (m-to- m)
The highest ROR for star hotels in November 2024 occurred at 5-star hotels, namely 68.73 percent and the lowest for 1-star hotels, namely 36.14 percent.
The average length of stay of guests (RLMT) at star hotels is higher than at non-star hotels. RLMT in star hotels is 1.37 nights while RLMT in non-star hotels is 1.09 nights
