Law Number 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics regulates that statistical activities aim to provide complete, accurate and up-to-date statistical data in order to create a reliable, effective and efficient National Statistics System. As an effort to improve the quality of implementing sectoral statistics, the South Sumatra Provincial Central Statistics Agency as the supervisor of statistical data has carried out an Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS) in 2023 in the South Sumatra Provincial Government, guided by Central Statistics Agency Regulation Number 3 of 2022 concerning Evaluation Implementation of Sectoral Statistics.
The letter of recommendation for the 2023 EPSS results for the South Sumatra Provincial Government has been submitted to the Regional Secretary of South Sumatra Province, Ir. S.A. Supriono. Furthermore, this recommendation letter can be used as a basis for recommendations for implementing sectoral statistical activities.
BPS South Sumatra Province expresses its highest appreciation to the South Sumatra Provincial Government for the commitment and hard work of all levels in organizing sectoral statistics and strengthening the National Statistical System in 2023. We hope that in the future, the implementation and use of sectoral statistics will be more effective and of better quality.
