Hello #SahabatData
As part of BPS Sumatera Selatan's role in supporting the inflation control program in Sumatera Selatan, the Head of BPS Sumatera Selatan Province, Moh. Wahyu Yulianto, S.Si., S.ST., M.Si., attended a High-Level Meeting/Coordination Meeting of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) of Sumatera Selatan Province as a speaker (July 4th).
At the event held in the Graha Bina Praja Auditorium of the Governor's Office of Sumatera Selatan, the Head of BPS Sumatera Selatan delivered a presentation on the development of economic indicators and inflation in Sumatera Selatan. During the meeting, he highlighted the progress of inflation figures, which showed positive trends throughout 2024. He also issued a warning to maintain price stability, particularly during certain periods that could trigger a surge in demand for specific commodities or services.
In the meeting, the Caretaker Governor of Sumatera Selatan, Elen Setiadi, S.H., M.S.E., urged all Regional Heads, Forkopimda, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), and stakeholders to follow the directives of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. The directives focus on addressing inflation, strengthening food production, and encouraging investment to increase the added value of agricultural products and other products in Sumatera Selatan Province.
It is hoped that this meeting will provide insights and convey central government policies that can synergize and support the Provincial and Regency/Municipal Governments of Sumatera Selatan in enhancing their efforts to control inflation. Together, we are ready to control inflation for a better Sumatera Selatan.
