Abstract
Sumatera Selatan's April 2023 export value reached US$567.31
million, down 11.52 percent compared to March 2023 exports. Compared to April
2022, the export value fell by 18.84 percent.
Non-oil and gas exports in April 2023 reached US$526.54
million, down 13.39 percent compared to March 2023. Compared to April 2022,
non-oil and gas exports fell by 18.14 percent.
Cumulatively, the export value of Sumatera Selatan from
January to April 2023 reached US$2,337.50 million, up 9.39 percent compared to
the same period in 2022.
The largest share of April 2023 exports was China with
US$260.64 million, South Korea with US$62.47 million and India with US$52.63
million.
Cumulatively, Sumatera Selatan's largest export value from
January to April 2023 was directed to China in the amount of US$1,068.92
million, India in the amount of US$216.22 million, and Malaysia in the amount
of US$170.91 million, with the contribution of the three of them reaching 62.29
percent. Meanwhile, exports to ASEAN and the European Union were 21.30 percent
and 2.48 percent, respectively.
Sumatera Selatan's April 2023 import value reached US$57.88
million, down 6.59 percent compared to March 2023, and down 25.45 percent
compared to April 2022.
April 2023 oil and gas imports were valued at US$4.06
million, down 40.33 percent compared to March 2023, and down 69.62 percent
compared to April 2022.
April 2023 non-oil and gas imports were valued at US$53.83
million, down 2.43 percent compared to March 2023, and down 16.28 percent
compared to April 2022.
The three biggest suppliers of imported goods for
January-April 2023 are China US$89.03 million (41.32 percent), Ivory Coast
US$19.51 million (9.06 percent), and Singapore US$19.05 million (8.84 percent).
). The value of imports from ASEAN in January-April 2023 was US$69.64 million
(32.32 percent) and the European Union was US$18.52 million (8.59 percent).
Sumatera Selatan's April 2023 trade balance experienced a
surplus of US$ 509.43 million, originating from the non-oil and gas sector of
US$ 472.71 million, and the oil and gas sector of US$ 36.72 million.
