Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) in December 2023 was 109.52 or decreased by 0.10 percent

Abstract

FTT is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib). FTT is an indicator to measure the farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
Sumatera Selatan Province’s FTT was 109.52 in December 2023 or decreased by 0.10 percent compared with that in November 2023. The decrease in FTT was due to the decrease in FTT of, horticulture at 2.27 percent, plantation at 0.16 percent and livestock at 0.86 percent. Meanwhile, The FTT for food crops, marine capture fishery and aquaculture increased at 0.47 percent, 0.27 percent, and 0.01 percent.
Sumatera Selatan Province’s rural inflation rose 0.68 percent, from 120.69 in November 2023 to 121.51 in Desember 2023.
Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 110.98 in December 2023 or increased by 0.34 percent compared to November 2023.
