Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in September 2024 will be 10.51 percent, decreasing
    0.46 percentage points against the March 2024 percentage.
  • The number of poor people in September 2024 will be 948.84 thousand people, a decrease
    35.4 thousand people by March 2024.
  • The percentage of urban poor people in September 2024 will be 9.02 percent,
    down 1.02 percentage points from March 2024. For rural areas, percentage
    The poor population in September 2024 was 11.43 percent, experiencing a decrease
    0.10 percentage points from March 2024.
  • The number of poor urban residents decreased by 32.3 thousand people from 342.34
    thousand people in March 2024 to 310.04 thousand people in September 2024.
    In the same period the number of poor rural residents fell by 3.1
    thousand people from 641.90 thousand people in March 2024 to 638.81 thousand people
    in September 2024.
  • The Poverty Line in September 2024 was recorded at IDR 564,462/capita/
    month with a Food Poverty Line composition of IDR 423,507,- (75.03
    percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 140,955,- (24.97
    percent).
  • In September 2024, the average household will be poor in South Sumatra
    has 5.04 household members. Thus, the magnitude of the Line
    Poverty per poor household on average is IDR 2,844,888/-
    poor households/month.
