No Tourists Visit South Sumatra in August 2020

• In August 2020, no foreign tourists (tourists) visited South Sumatra through the entrance to the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in South Sumatra in August 2020 was recorded at 42.10 percent, or an increase of 2.56 points compared to the ROR for hotels in July 2020 which was 39.54 percent. The highest ROR for star hotels in August 2020 occurred in five-star hotels by 56.55 percent and the lowest was for one-star hotels at 18.32 percent

• The average length of stay of all star hotel guests in August 2020 was recorded at 1.56 days, up 0.14 days compared to July 2020 which was 1.42 days.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests was 3.94 days, an increase of 0.47 compared to July 2020 which was 3.47 days and the average length of stay of domestic guests in August 2020 was 1.55 days, an increase of 0.14 days compared to July 2020 which was 1.41 days.
