No Tourists Visit South Sumatra in September 2020

Abstract

• In September 2020, no foreign tourists (tourists) visited South Sumatra through the entrance to the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in South Sumatra in September 2020 was recorded at 42.81 percent, or an increase of 0.71 points compared to the ROR for hotels in August 2020 which was 42.10 percent.

• The highest ROR for star hotels in September 2020 occurred in four-star hotels by 47.41 percent and the lowest was at one-star hotels by 26.40 percent

• The average length of stay of all star hotel guests in September 2020 was recorded at 1.92 days, an increase of 0.36 days compared to August 2020 which was 1.56 days.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests was 5.91 days, an increase of 1.97 days compared to August 2020 which was 3.94 days and the average length of stay of domestic guests in September 2020 was 1.91 days, an increase of 0, 36 days compared to August 2020 which was 1.55 days.
